January 8, 2026 – 40 Days Toward Deeper Listening: Hearing the Heart of Humanity – Online workshop

We are launching our first online audio course! Join this 90 minute free workshop on Zoom to learn more with A Peace of My Mind‘s John Noltner and the course’s creative producer Amy Chatelaine. We will walk you through some of the stories and prompts, lead you in some journaling exercises, facilitate group discussions, and unpack some of the offerings in this new resource.

We’ve been working on this project for most of the year and are excited to share it with you! (plus, it’s always good to hang out with our people.) Here’s a little more about the course:

Join us on a journey of the heart. Each day, you will receive a 7-8 minute audio clip with a person’s story and two prompts for your reflection.

The stories in this course come from interviews with everyday Americans, rooted in the question, “What does peace mean to you?” We hope that these stories become a compass that points to the heart of humanity across America and in your own backyard.

January 26, 2026 – A Peace of My Mind’s Cartographies of Story session – St. Paul, Minnesota

Stories define and make our lives—both individually and collectively. Many of the stories we live by operate quietly in the background, shaping perception, meaning, and relationship. Cartographies of Story is a new and ongoing facilitated inquiry into these living narratives. Together, we’ll cultivate curiosity and attentiveness toward the stories that shape us, experimenting with how we create and receive them. This is a gathering for those drawn to story as terrain rather than product. It’s a space for people working with story, memory, and meaning—writers, artists, thinkers; for those who are curious about story beyond craft or diagnosis; for those interested in story as ecology, memory, and movement.Learn more and register here.

February 3, 2026 – A Peace of My Mind’s Creative Changemakers film screening – St. Paul, Minnesota

Join A Peace of My Mind for a screening of the short documentary My Father’s Name, which follows the story of Jan Frazier as she seeks to uncover the truth of her late father’s participation in a lynching. The film accompanies Jan as she reckons with deeply conflicted feelings about the father she loved, grapples with how to hold her family accountable, and faces the dawning awareness of her own unconscious racism. Following the screening will be a live conversation between A Peace of My Mind’s Nick Theisen and the film director Susanna Styron. We’ll talk about the power of story, her journey of making the film, and questions that emerge from the film. Weaving together the personal, political, cultural, mythic, spiritual, and artistic, this will be a wide-ranging conversation that promises to be thought-provoking. Learn more and register here.
